balak namin itong irecord properly with very winner arrangements. haha excited na ako.

for those who are not into this kind of music, pakinggan nyo lang yung song kahit technically. ang ganda pa rin e. si josh balagapo ang nagparinig nitong song sa akin. sobrang fan kasi ako ng hillsong united pero tumigil na akong makinig ng mga bagong kanta dahil hindi na ako part ng music ministry ng church namin. simple lang din to pero winner melodies. ang galing nila mag-arrange ng songs into powerful masterpieces. tapos ang hot pa ni brook fraser ligertwood (yep kinasal na siya). maganda rin yung album niyang albertine btw.

this year ko lang talaga nadiscover ang mae. inaya ako ni donald laudencia sa tk kasi may nirereto sa kanya yung isa nyang kaibigan na girl. tas nag end up na ako yung mas may gusto dun sa girl. hahaha. anyway, mae yung pinapatugtog sa tk tas sobrang nacurious ako so tinanong ko kung sino. tas may isa pang hot girl na nagpapatugtog pala, nakakabit yung ipod niya sa speakers. nagkaexcuse tuloy si don na lumapit dun sa girl at tanungin kung sino yung artist. pagkauwi ko dinownload ko yung buong mae discography tapos narealize ko na medyo iba to sa mga songs nila. favorite ko yung mga extended/sustained notes before the choruses.

(hindi kay kathy ha. although nainlove talaga ako sa kanya dati). ang galing ng falsetto nya tas sobrang indie lang talaga nito. ang ganda nung fuzz bass at yung lungkot na dinadala nitong song.

Browsing my posts this past year, I came upon an entry January 2009:

" I'm immensely hopeful that this year has quite a lot in store for me.. 2008 brought me terrible terrible heartache and loss, among other mind-wracking things and it's about time I leave all the excess weight behind..


This year Im hoping..

- that my family life will become less of a thorn on my side
- finances will be easier and much MUCH more bearable
- I gain back the independence I lost over the last 3 years"


In summary, pondering on my 2009, I realize:

- my family is a pleasant comfort in my life now (I even missed them so much I spent Christmas with them hahaha). Inspite of the loss we had middle of the year, I'm glad to know that I've rekindled the love I have for my family. I want to take care of them and be there for them and make sure they are healthy happy and contented.

- my finances this 2009 has been substantially easier.. Money came in significantly well this year..

- I can say I am much happier now looking at myself in the mirror and I no longer hate myself.. It's not much independence as of yet, however, I can say that me, my ego , and my confidence have traveled places this 2009..

My life may not be as exciting and eventful as I wished it was but it's calm and manageable and peaceful.. That's better than anything I can hope for..

And 2009 has flown by.

Flight is a good metaphor to use at year’s end, so are other elements that have to do with flight, such as air flowing, blowing the right doors wide open, locking the wrong ones behind me.

This year flew by. I still remember the setting in which I wrote my end-of-2008 journal entry:

I was in my bedroom in Baguio, lying flat on my stomach on the bed with my laptop in front of me and, on my mind, the person who, in 2009, would become my teacher, friend, and love.

And the days continued passing after him, as they did during the dreamlike season of before him and after G: 2009’s days that haunt me with out-of-place reminders from those who only knew me in a half-hearted, half-real context; unintended collateral damage;  things shown out the door with the ushering in of a new year.

This year, I tried to be a good girl.

Somehow, in the middle of not living, just passing time, I stumbled upon the path I have spent years searching for: my path to Him, the one I choose to continue building, my golden road of service.

2009 was a colourful parade of trials and opportunities for personal growth. At year’s end, I can only pray for a similarly wonderful 2010.

Not everyone we love will stay. But sometimes, painful experiences are needed to lead us in the right direction. In my case, it threw my world open to so many wonderful things. 

Everything in its place.
